Claire’s Best Recommendations on Choosing Stones
“When it comes to picking your stones, getting the size right is key. If they’re too tiny or too big, it can affect how well Easihold binds them together”
Why Claire Chose Easihold
Claire Douglas recently took on a project to stabilise decorative stones under a window. What could have been a tricky, messy task became a quick and satisfying DIY project, thanks to Easihold, a high-quality solution designed to secure loose stones and decorative gravel while keeping their natural appearance.
Easihold is developed under Vuba, the parent company, which ensures the product meets high standards of durability, performance, and safety. Claire appreciated that the product allows natural drainage, making it perfect for a low-maintenance outdoor space.
Claire recently used Vuba’s DIY Kit to create her resin pathway, and she called the whole process a “game changer.”
The Process: How Claire Used Easihold
1. Preparing the Area
Before the application, Claire cleaned and arranged the stones under the window. Proper preparation is key to achieving a neat, professional finish and allows Easihold to work effectively. Claire used cardboard as a substitute for a weed membrane, but either option works. While Easihold helps slow down weed growth, we always recommend using a weed membrane or something similar for the best results!

Claire’s Clever Hack for Weed Control: Cardboard Instead of Membrane
Claire said, “To keep maintenance as low as possible, I laid a weed barrier before adding the stones. You can use a standard weed membrane, but I didn’t have any to hand, so I used plain cardboard instead. It works brilliantly as long as it stays damp and has no printing, dyes, labels, tape or staples. Simple brown cardboard sheets are ideal.”
2. Applying the Formula
Claire used the Easihold spraying method, which dried clear and held the stones firmly in place. The simple application made what could have been a messy job quick, easy, and satisfying, while preserving the natural look of the stones.

3. Achieving a Long-Lasting Finish
Once applied, Easihold created a durable, low-maintenance finish. Even after more than a year, the stones remain secure and visually unchanged, showcasing the product’s weather-resistant and long-lasting properties.

Why Claire Recommends Easihold
For Claire, Easihold turned a potentially challenging DIY project into a stress-free, professional-looking result. She recommends it to anyone looking to stabilise loose stones or decorative gravel, offering a long-lasting, attractive finish with minimal effort.
By being developed under Vuba, Easihold combines innovative formulation with the reliability and expertise of an established parent company, making it a trusted choice for creating tidy, durable, and beautiful outdoor spaces.
