CREATE YOUR RESIN BOUND SURFACE IN 7 SIMPLE STEPS.
Follow our simple application guide for a smooth, professional-looking resin bound finish.
PREPARE YOUR AREA
Before you begin, make sure your installation area is clean, completely dry, stable and free from contamination.
Remove dust, loose material, oil, moss and anything else that could affect adhesion.
PREPARE YOUR BASE
ProKit can be installed over a range of stable and structurally sound external surfaces.
MIX PART A + B
Pour Part A and Part B of the resin system into a separate mixing container.
Blend thoroughly until the resin develops a smooth and consistent creamy appearance.
WORKING TIME
ADD YOUR AGGREGATE
Once your resin is fully mixed, add the aggregate and mix thoroughly using a drill and paddle mixer.
Continue mixing until every stone is evenly coated in resin.
POUR & SPREAD
Pour the fully mixed material directly onto your prepared surface and begin spreading it evenly across the installation area.
Maintain an even depth throughout. Inconsistent depths can affect both the appearance and structural integrity of the finished surface.
TROWEL & FINISH
Use a steel finishing trowel to carefully compact and smooth the resin bound surface.
Work methodically across the area to achieve your desired finish while maintaining a consistent depth.
LEAVE TO CURE
Once you've finished your installation, leave the surface undisturbed while the resin cures.
A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER.
Avoid installation during rain, frost, damp conditions, high humidity or extreme heat.
Give the resin sufficient time to cure before allowing regular use of the finished surface.
Poor mixing is one of the most common causes of installation problems.
Maintain a consistent installation depth for the best appearance and long-term performance.

Product Application
Can Easihold be used on a driveway?
No, Easihold is not suitable for driveways or vehicle traffic.
Can Easihold be used on a patio?
Easihold works on light traffic patios, but for areas with heavy furniture or frequent use, we recommend using our Resin Bound Kits.
Can Easihold-treated stones support garden furniture?
No, Easihold is not designed to support furniture, particularly those with isolated point loads. It may work with wider base loads, but results vary.
Does Easihold work on mulch?
Yes, Easihold can be used on mulch.
Does Easihold work on slate chippings?
Yes, but due to their size and shape, we recommend them for decorative purposes only, not for walking surfaces.
How deep should the stones be for best results?
Easihold is effective at depths up to 25mm, with 20mm being the ideal depth.
Is it safe for plants, pets and the environment?
EASIHOLD is water-based and non-toxic. It's pet friendly and completely permeable, so water drains right through!
Will it darken the stones / give it a wet look?
Easihold dries clear (but is milky in large quantities) and will not change or add a colour to your stones. However, Easihold will bring out the natural colour of the stones - which is often interpreted as a change in colour. If you want to see how Easihold will change the colour, you can add water - the final result will be similar!
Weather & Durability
How long after application can it rain?
For best results, Easihold should have 48 hours of dry weather to cure properly.
How long do I wait between coats?
Easihold is air-drying, so avoid over-saturating the area. Allow 30 minutes for the first coat to dry before applying a second coat.
How long does Easihold last?
With a proper application on a stable, free-draining base, Easihold can last 24 months. Annual top-ups are recommended.
Is Easihold UV Stable?
Yes! Easihold is completely UV stable and will not degrade under sunlight.
Will Easihold hold up in winter?
Easihold is a water-based product and should not be fully submerged in water for long periods. Ensure proper drainage to prevent breakdown, and consider annual top-ups.
Product Storage & Cleaning
Can you jet wash the stones after applying Easihold?
No, we don’t recommend jet washing, as high pressure can damage the bond. Instead, clean with warm water.
Do I need to clean the stones before applying Easihold?
Yes! Dirty or silty stones can prevent a strong bond. Wash your stones before application and allow them to dry completely.
How long can you store Easihold?
Unopened: 12-month shelf life. Opened: Store in a cool, dry place to extend usability.
Is Easihold flammable?
No! Easihold is a water-based product and is not flammable.
Coverage & Application Methods
Do you need a special spray gun for Easihold?
No! Easihold can be applied using a standard airless sprayer.
How much area does Easihold cover?
Pour-On Application: 5m² (53 sq. ft.) per coat. Spray Application: 10m² (108 sq. ft.) per coat
Is Easihold SUDS compliant?
Yes, Easihold is SUDS compliant and leaves stones permeable for drainage.
What size stones work best with Easihold?
For the strongest bond, use stones between 4mm and 10mm in diameter. Stones up to 15mm can also work, but larger stones reduce bonding strength.
Would Easihold work with a 20mm aggregate?
Larger stones like 20mm aggregate can be bonded but may not be suitable for foot traffic.
