Watch the application process before you begin.
Before You StartCheck your coverage area, stone size, depth and tools.
Preparation Is Key
The spray method is recommended for new and existing decorative stones and is an efficient way to apply Easihold. Simply spray evenly across the surface, compact the material, then apply a final coat. When correctly applied, Easihold can provide protection for up to 3 years.
Coverage Calculator: How Much Do You Need?
Enter the length and width of the area you want to treat. The calculator recommends a combination of 4.1L bottles (10m² coverage each) and 2L bottles (5m² coverage each), using the fewest bottles needed to cover your area.
Please enter a length and width greater than zero.
The recommendation combines 4.1L and 2L bottles where useful, rounding up to whole bottles to cover the area entered. Actual coverage can vary with stone size, application depth and surface conditions.
Clean Area
Make sure the area is clean, free from debris and dry before application. Remove loose dirt, leaves and anything else that could affect the finish or prevent Easihold from reaching the stones.
Stone Sizes
Easihold is designed for decorative stones between 4–20mm, including pea gravel. Choose a suitable, consistent stone size for the area you are treating.
Recommended Stone Depth
Apply Easihold at a suitable depth to help achieve an even finish and effective coverage.
Tools Needed
Have your equipment ready before you begin.
PreparationCheck weather conditions, stones, sprayer and surrounding area.
Good preparation helps Easihold coat the stones evenly and helps prevent dust, debris or equipment residue from affecting the finished result. Complete these checks before applying the first coat.
STEP 1: Apply the First CoatSpray Easihold evenly across the stones or mulch.
Spray the First Coat
- Use an airless pressure sprayer to apply an even coat directly onto the stones or mulch.
- Hold the nozzle approximately 8–12 inches above the surface.
- Cover the area evenly using overlapping passes. Ensure the stones or mulch are coated without flooding the surface or creating pools of product.
- Submerge the sprayer nozzle in warm water between applications to help avoid blockages or glue hardening inside the nozzle.
STEP 2: Compact & SetUse pressure to compact and level the stones or mulch.
Compact and Level
- As part of Easihold's Dual Bond Technology, use a trowel or flat instrument to apply pressure, compact and level the stones or mulch.
- This helps create a stable, even surface and positions the material correctly before the final coat.
- Allow the area to settle for approximately 30 minutes before applying the second coat.
- Keep the area clear while it's setting and do not disturb the stones or mulch.
STEP 3: Apply the Final CoatRepeat the spraying process and leave the area undisturbed.
Spray the Final Coat
- Apply the final coat evenly across the surface, following the spraying method in .
- Ensure the entire area receives an even application without excessive pooling.
- Once complete, do not disturb the area for 24–48 hours.
- Allow the surface to fully dry before walking on it or placing furniture or other objects onto it.
AftercareClean spillages, look after your sprayer and maintain the surface.
Once application is complete, clean your equipment promptly and keep the treated area maintained to help preserve its finish.
Use a stiff brush and hot, soapy water to remove spillages from surrounding areas.
Clean and flush the pressure sprayer immediately after application with hot water to help prevent clogging.
Top up every year in areas that receive foot traffic.
